Tour Altaussee-Lupitsch

Nordic walking or running route from the center of Altaussee to Luptisch and back again. Breathtaking lookouts to the countryside and the mountains.
Demanding tour with uphills at the beginning unitl the so-called "Moosberg", passing the ancient castle ruin "Ruine Pflindsberg" and the waterfall via Lupitsch back to Altaussee.
The path leads via meadows, through forests and on graveld, small roads.

From the Altaussee spa house, head north through the spa park, past the kindergarten, along the state road for a short distance, and then at km 0.4 turn left over the bridge and half-right uphill.Follow the old Salzbergstraße and at km 0.7 turn left and continue on the hiking trail. At km 1,6 you turn right steeply uphill until you make a small detour to the Pflindsberg castle ruins at km 2,5.Now continue on the forest road and turn left at km 3.2. From here you continue on a forest road until shortly before km 4,2.From km 4,2 to km 5,4 the trail descends to Unterlupitsch and continues along side roads and then through the forest always following the symbols back to Altaussee.
A sidestep to the waterfall is highly recommended.
Around Altaussee there are several
parking lots available.
