Beautiful ski tour in Ausseerland - Salzkammergut from Tauplitzalm into the Tote Gebirge.

Scenically beautiful and rather easy to moderately difficult ski tour. Long and flat approach via Steirersee and Schwarzensee via Leistalm with short counter ascents. Relatively easy ascent to the summit with several downhill options.

Anreise mit dem Auto nach Tauplitz zur Talstation der 4er-Sesselbahn.
Anreise von Bad Mitterndorf aus mit dem Auto auf die Tauplitzalm. (Mautstraße)

The ski tour starts at the mountain station of the 4-seater chairlift Tauplitz at 1,656 meters above sea level and leads eastwards to the Steirerseehütten. Here there is already the first descent to the Steirersee.

Continue along the Steirersee and up to the Schwarzensee. Follow to the right past the Leistalmhütte in the direction of Kamphütten. After about 500 meters turn left and continue in a northeasterly direction to the summit of the Almkogel. The way back is along the ascent route.
