

Kainisch bridle path - Sillstraße - Lake Ödensee
Apart from the unique natural experience around the area of the Ödensee and the beautiful views, this tour implys some sportsmanship. The road called "Sillstraße" is as well a popular route for mountainbikes, therefore you have to expect bicycles on the way.

Detailed information how to get to the Ausseerland – Salzkammergut you will find on our website!
The tour starts from the parking on the street to the Ödensee. Please look out for a cattle grid on the way. After about 1,5 kilomters turn to the right and after that left to the so-called "Sillstraße", following the signpostings for the mountainbikes. From there onwards you will follow an uphill with nice lookouts. Reaching the highest point at of the so-called "Elendwald". When this road leads in to the "Finetstraße" at the gate, the graveled road takes you downwards offering breathtaking view over the lake. Soon you shall keep to your left in direction to the starting point. Before that we enjoy a trip over fields and then through the forest area to the Ödensee. After a break at the inn, located directly next to the lake, you finish the tour by heading back to the starting point.
Taking a ride on a horse on approved forest roads and paths is allowed from 08.30 a.m until two hours before dusk. Feeding areas and raised stands shall be avoided to be passed.
In wintertime horse riding is not allowed on roads which are not cleaned from the snow.
Only with a valied badge rides are allowed.

Right after the fishery in Pichl-Kainisch there is a big wall chart which offers an overview of the area and next to it there is a small parking.
