There's tradition here: artists feel welcome and those who like can follow their traces in the Ausseer landscape on the Via Artis. Apart from this, it would be a real pity to restrict the holiday in Bad Aussee to the summer. You should also come see the mountain spring or the clear fresh winter time too!
The year is incomplete without the Daffodil Festival and once autumn has arrived, you can look forward to plenty of sun while hiking and you can also forget the fog. It's always a great time to explore Bad Aussee step by step along the banks of the Traun, through the spa park where the salt pans once steamed, or through the shopping streets where domestic variety triumphs over international monotony.
Handicrafts are as lively in Ausseerland–Salzkammergutt as hardly anywhere else. Or you simply take things as they come unhurriedly, sit under the chestnut trees looking over the edge of a cup of coffee and hardly are ever surprised when a prominent face comes into view. Bad Aussee has a lot of friends after all.
