The Mur cycle path and Hochsteiermark
The central section of the popular river cycling trail in the green heart of Austria passes right through Hochsteiermark. On the section between Leoben and Fronleiten, you will pass the lovely city of Bruck an der Mur. Make sure to take a break there and visit the charming Old Town! Or even better, spend a night in Bruck! This gives you more time to explore Kornmesserhaus, the Eiserne Brunnen, the town hall with its arcade courtyard, Schlossberg hill and more. And of course, more time for a shopping spree, a visit to one of the city’s lovely cafés or a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.
