Chamber music is more than a form of instrumentation. It is a principle of listening: attentive, close, dialogical.

Our programs this summer are understood as a series of such conversations – between epochs, manuscripts, and sound concepts, between individual voice and collective form.

The violinist Benjamin Schmid & Friends interpret three works, three expressions – and yet a common origin: the idea that music is language. Thus, a program is created that presents less three individual works than makes a development audible: from inner reflection through dialogical chamber music to expansive sound speech.

A concert on the question of how music speaks – and how it remains in conversation across times.
