Experience three thrilling L'Orfeo productions at the RING AWARD 25 in the Graz Region!
Welcome to the Graz Region! On 28 and 29 June 2025, the Schauspielhaus Graz will be transformed into a creative hotspot for music theatre fans. The RING AWARD 25 celebrates its 30th anniversary with an extraordinary finale: three young directing teams will present their unique interpretations of Claudio Monteverdi's ‘L'Orfeo’ within 24 hours.
You can look forward to:
- Team 1: L'Orfeo. The myth next door - A modern approach to the ancient material.
- Team 2: Orfeo - Attention recording - A production that transfers the myth into the world of media.
- Team 3: Orfeo. The end of all things - A dark vision of the Orpheus myth.
After each performance, you will have the opportunity to talk directly to the artists at the Speakers' Corner. The award ceremony will take place on Sunday, at which it will be decided which team will win the coveted RING AWARD and be allowed to realise a production at Graz Opera.
The RING AWARD attaches great importance to sustainability and fulfils the criteria of the Austrian Ecolabel for Green Events. Please use environmentally friendly means of transport such as train, bus or bicycle for your journey.
