The pilgrimage church "Maria Schutz" in Rinegg was built between 1947 and 1950 as a mess chapel for the then independent community of Rinegg and as a war memorial. There were weekly masses until the elementary school was closed. The church belongs to the Pafrre Ranten and is very popular for weddings.
