With the e-bike to the Niederalpl in the Mürzer Oberland Nature Park

From Altenberg an der Rax, we follow the road out of the valley until it joins Preiner Gscheid Straße. Here, too, we continue out of the valley until we reach the main road at Kapellen an der Mürz. Cross the road (watch out for traffic!) and join the Mürztal cycle path R5 at the coffee roastery.

From here, follow this to Mürzsteg, where it is particularly worth taking a break at Neuberg an der Mürz Abbey.

From Mürzsteg, the route continues uphill with marvellous close-up views of the northern side of the Veitsch along the Dobreinbach stream to Niederalpl.

Return along the same route to Altenberg.

Climate change trail and Montanarum in Altenberg, nature park - coffee roasting plant and the world's largest spinning wheel in Kapellen, the Urani leisure pond, the monastery, the glass blowing workshop or the nature museum in Neuberg, the Holzknecht museum and the summer residence of the Austrian Federal President in Mürzsteg - the route is rich in interesting and rewarding rest stops along the Mürz.
