We follow the blue signposts "WirteWanderWeg Tischlerwirt".
We start at the Tischlerwirt Inn in Obere Stanz and walk along the asphalt road towards Stanzbach. We turn right and then immediately left, crossing the bridge to a meadow path. We follow the meadow path, which soon splits, and take the left path, walking along the edge of the forest, part of the Stanzer Sonnenweg. In the forest, we take the right turn at the next junction. Before leaving the forest again, we can make a detour to the forest chapel on the left. Then we continue until we reach the asphalt road, where we turn left. We walk along the Traßnitzbach until we soon turn left through a pasture gate (please close the gate behind you!) and follow the forest road. This takes us uphill, where we have a nice view of the Stanz Valley at a bend. After a few more curves, we leave the forest road to the right onto a covered path and follow it into the forest. The path turns into a narrow trail that leads us to the next forest road, where we turn right again. At the end of this wooded forest road, on the left side, we find a quarry, and we reach a large storage area. From here, a sandy road leads us downhill until we reach an asphalt road, which we follow left uphill. We leave the forest and find ourselves at the end of the valley, with a beautiful view. Passing a few houses, we continue uphill until we reach a junction after a farm, where we turn left. Just before the highest point of the road, we have a beautiful view of the Mürztal Mountains and the Hochschwab region behind them on the left. We soon reach the mountain saddle, where there is a charming weekend house. The marker on a tree here points us right and is located under a nesting box. We follow the asphalt road, and on the left, we have a wonderful view of the Stanz Valley with the Stanglalm and the wind turbines in the distance. At the next intersection, we go straight, then soon cross a bridge, after which we immediately turn left and follow the asphalt road downhill until we reach a farm. We pass through the yard, and on the right side of the house, a covered path leads towards Hollersbach. Before we reach the stream, we turn right and go through a small gate. Here begins a wooded trail (caution: the path can be a bit muddy in rain!) that leads us to the Hollersbach. We follow the stream, which we cross soon after. The trail then widens, and we continue downhill along a covered path towards Stanz, until we reach a forest road, where we turn right. After leaving the forest, we turn left and follow the road that leads over a bridge. Here we have a nice view of the Parish Church of St. Katharina in Stanz. After the bridge, we turn left and turn right at the next cross street, bringing us back to the starting point of the hike.
