On path no. 926 to the fork with path 928. Continue left on path 928 in the direction of Greim, over the wide sheep pastures of Funklboden to the information board“Rettelkirch Peak”. You climb unmarked onto the initially wide ridge. When the ridge narrows, you follow climbing tracks over a few ridge elevations to the forepeak (small cairn). A path also comes up here from the Funkl Scharte. Directly opposite (about 30 m higher) you can now surprisingly see the large summit cross of the Rettlkirchspitze.
The descent takes place on the ascent path.
