TAU-Winzer
Tieschen12 vintners of the Tieschen region - one brand. TAU stands for "Deeply rooted in the region". The statue of St. Francis inspired the winemakers to come up with this idea, which is a sign of the bond with the homeland.
The small wine village of Tieschen is not on the main routes. This is probably why the motto is "Whoever finds us, finds us well." Because in Tieschen, people love life and wine. Especially Burgundy. No other grape variety is able to capture the flavor of the place better, say the 12 TAU winemakers. And they should know, after all. For many years, they have dedicated themselves entirely to wine. In Tieschen, this is called TAU.
The basis of TAU wines are Burgundy cuvées, because the varieties Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris thrive best in Tieschen. The grapes are harvested at high ripeness. Fruity, powerful wines with edges and corners are the result. Strong in character like the people of Tieschen themselves. After all, wines always reflect the soil and the people who made them.
TAU is just different and that 12 times: Because although the TAU winemakers are a small, sworn troop, each leaves his own personal signature and makes "his" wine. On the "Weg der Riede", a wine trail around Tieschen, wine connoisseurs can best see for themselves. Of the TAU winemakers, their individual approaches and, of course, of Tieschen, a place to which, once you have found it, you will always be happy to return.
