Franziskus Tier-Erlebnisbauernhof
UnterlammThe animal adventure farm offers over 30 animal species as well as a café and a petting zoo.
The Franziskus Animal Experience Farm in Unterlamm houses over 30 animal species, including very rare breeds: wallabies (kangaroo), mini-Shetland ponies, nandus and large emus, camels, donkeys, copper-necked goats, Hungarian Racka sheep, alpacas, mini-pigs, various chickens, Greek tortoises, and many others...
In the farm café, one can take a little break and enjoy the homemade cakes and treats. There is also something for a small hunger.
Petting can be done in the petting zoo with small animals like pygmy goats and rabbits.
The grounds and the farm café are accessible. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash.
Children have free admission on their birthday!
By the way: The name of the farm goes back to St. Francis of Assisi – the patron saint of animals. Initiator Franz Maurer has set up a special monument for him: In the experience farm, there's a bronze statue of the saint that visitors can admire. Maurer himself crafted the stone on which the statue stands with painstaking handwork.
