Weingut Skringer vlg. Ranz
Leutschach an der WeinstraßeNo, there is no hustle and bustle here. Not even in October at the height of the Styrian autumn and certainly not at any other time. Because good things must ripen slowly and with love - and with the careful care of the Skringer vulgo Ranz family. But that is not the only reason why it is so nice to be a guest here.
Whoever visits the Skringers is right in the middle of rural life. Sometimes it's quiet, sometimes one takes up the button accordion and the other the devil's fiddle, then again there's a horse dedication, Maronibraten or a game of skittles. The youngsters earn their first pocket money by playing skittles and the older ones try out which target water is the better one. The Skringer family has many faces, from the two brothers Josef and Ernst to ... yes where does one actually stop? All together - the parents, the siblings and the animals from the dog to the turtle - are simply a farm where everyone belongs together. As a guest, you quickly become a part of it, for example when you take a room - or just sit there, listen and join in the conversation. Like a diamond in the rough, the expansive Eichberg with its Klapotez wine route lies between the major wine routes of southern Styria. Less touristy and more pristine. For this very reason, everyone who turns into the Skringers' courtyard probably senses that they have arrived in a place where life still moves at a slower, more leisurely pace.
