Ehrenhausen an der WeinstraßeFrom generation to generation - a family business in transition
In 1987, Margret and Reinhold Sr. took over the family business and planted 10 hectares of vineyards over 25 years. As they do not produce wine themselves, they sell their grapes to other winegrowers. In 2007, their son Reinhold Jr. completes his training as a viticulture and cellar worker, while their daughter Sabine finishes her apprenticeship as a catering specialist. In 2008 Reinhold jun. makes his first own wine. In 2009, the Buschenschank is built, which opens in 2010 to increase added value. In 2019, the farm is handed over to Reinhold Jr. and Sabine, while the parents retire from managing the business. Reinhold Jr. produces wine, fruit juices and brandies, while Sabine runs the Buschenschank with her husband Janez. The parents continue to provide support: Reinhold Sr. in the vineyard, Margret in the kitchen - so everyone has their place in the family business.
