St. Andrä-HöchFollowing the fire and collapse of the third lookout, work has already begun on the plans for the construction of the fourth lookout. In addition to the construction of the new viewing platform, the core elements of this project are the construction of four knowledge transfer stations in the form of oversized wooden animal figures, which have been set up in the vicinity of the viewing platform and which children can playfully discover and climb on.
The new viewing platform has a platform height of 23.8 m, so that a panoramic view in all 4 directions is guaranteed. Furthermore, the combination of metal and timber construction blends in well with the existing landscape. Several nesting boxes for different bird species were integrated into the external cladding, which can be cleaned from the inside if necessary. The overall project is a very good addition to the project "The great adventure on the Demmerkogel", which was launched a few years ago - a family hiking trail with fun and games.
