The Freiland archery course is run by the Freiland Archery Association and is located in a picturesque mountain and alpine landscape along the eastern foothills of the Koralm. The rustic forests above the unspoilt Lassnitz offer a unique sporting experience. The course starts directly in Freiland near Deutschlandsberg, formerly the smallest municipality in Styria.

On the way to the enclosure site, you pass the Herk Farmhouse Museum. The museum tries to convey a picture of the way of life of farmers in the 19th century at the eastern foothills of the Alps. The museum's collection includes old tools, clothes and shoes produced on the farm itself, as well as tools for making them. The storage room, the kitchen, the living room and the sleeping chamber can be visited. Pictures and images of saints, saint books from previous centuries and various old writings are displayed in a showcase. Medicinal plants for prevention, relief and recovery for humans and animals, as well as herbs for the kitchen can be seen in the adjoining farm garden. A historical collection since the beginning of the reclamation and settlement of the village in the 12th century is summarised in the house chronicle and is available. The course is located right next to the romantic Hochzeiterhof. Unique, rustic, fairytale-like, the Herkhof in Freiland presents itself in the romantic mountain region of Hebalpe, in the middle of the Schilcherland at 847 m above sea level. Tradition meets inventiveness here, framed by a picturesque landscape. The Herkhof rents out extraordinary as well as exclusive rooms for celebrations. But also many magical places for a civil wedding or a free ceremony are waiting for you. For church weddings, the parish church right next to the Herkhof is at your disposal. Our aim is to provide a beautiful 3D archery course for both professional archers and beginners in archery. We also want to offer absolute newcomers to archery the opportunity to discover archery through the rental equipment.
