For those who love the rustic and original aspects of pilgrimage and hiking and would like to stop off or spend the night in a rustic refuge, we recommend the Mühlbacher Hütte, where there is no hot water, but many relaxed faces and food prepared on a wood-burning stove - just like in the days of the old pilgrims. The Mühlbacherhütte at a good 996 metres altitude on the Mühlbachkogel is open at weekends from 1 May to 26 October. Outside opening hours, a shelter with drinks is available. In addition to the panoramic guest garden, you can also enjoy pot strudel, roast pork and other homemade delicacies in the cosy guest lounge.
