Picnic in the park of the castle Hartberg
HartbergIn the heart of the old town of Hartberg with a view of the Ringkogel
The town of Hartberg is one of the "Small Historical Towns of Austria". A tour also leads to the castle park, where shady spots, green meadows, birdsong and benches invite you to rest and unroll the blanket. A panoramic view of Hartberg Castle with the "green" Ringkogel in the background.
If you want to hike over the Ringkogel up to the Ringwarte, you can start right behind the castle up to the entrance to the Brühl. The Peter-Rosegger-Weg theme trail provides insights into the garden art of the Romantic period, the beginnings of nature conservation around 1900 and the future of the forest in the age of ecology. So choose whether you want to start with a break or end your hike with a leisurely break after sporting activity in the castle park.
