Parish church Strallegg
StralleggThe Strallegg parish church is the heart of Strallegg. It was documented as a church in 1295 and was restored inside in 1961/1962 and outside in 1972.
There is a parking lot and inns/cafés next to the Strallegg parish church. The Gasthaus Mosbacher, the Dorfcafé Strallegg and the Café Puls are close by and are ideal for refreshments.
The Gothic church building with Baroque extensions is surrounded by a cemetery wall. The interior of the church features a choir with a quintuple chancel under a ribbed vault from around 1400. Underground passages led from the ossuary under the sacristy to the cellars of the nearby houses. They are an indication of the defensive function of the church, which was reinforced by high churchyard walls that were renewed in 1693.
