FeistritztalThe municipality of Feistritztal with over 2,400 inhabitants emerged as part of the municipal structural reform from the old municipalities of Blaindorf, Kaibing, Hirnsdorf, Sankt Johann bei Herberstein and Siegersdorf bei Herberstein.
The attempt to describe these five villages leads to an inadmissible shortening. So much is stated here in telegram style: not far from Herberstein Castle, the “Wild Waters” of Feistritz break out of the gorge, an ensemble of magnificent buildings, a garden of small sacred treasures. Bacchus has been lounging in the landscape-protected vineyards for centuries, and further down in the valley, late Gothic shadows. A world-class pilgrimage site with a spring sanctuary, in the Hofwald the mind and lungs stretch their wings wide. Traditional summer retreats and the glamorous radiance of the historic cold water bath (1830) continue to fascinate. At the “Wörthl”, the stone-old river invites you to wander through the water. An elaborate from great cultural history and the contrasting now forms new neighborhoods between bright squares and the little wonders in between. There is also the back forest.
