Memorial to Father Raimund Ochabauer
PöllauAs part of the opening ceremony the memorial to Father Raimund Ochabauer was handed over to the public in October 2012.
After the death of the pastor Raimund Ochabauer the idea to errect a memorial in Pöllau was conceived. A lifelike statue cast in bronze that reflects his nature now stands in the churchyard in Pöllau.
The artist Hannes Fladerer from Lembach bei Riegersburg intensively worked to created this life-sized portrait. "Raimund Ochabauer obviously used to be a human with a lot of basic trust, also in the unpredictable, and so the from is - just like the exit from life - open." - according to the artist.
