Tradition & Modernity

Located directly at the intersection to St. Kathrein am Offenegg and Passail is the Gasthaus Kreuzwirt. The name of the inn does not come from the intersection itself, but rather from a road cross that is said to have once stood there.

Already in 1878, an inn was built at the same location, and since 1914 it has been owned by the Pretterhofer family. After its closure in 2005, the younger generation, who already had experience in managing a hospitality business with the Bürgerkeller in Weiz, decided to bring the Kreuzwirt back to life. Michael and Kerstin made their dream come true and reopened the inn in August 2022.

The guest room with the large bar and the cozy Stüberl with a total of 70 seats invites you to eat, drink, and celebrate.

The inn combines tradition with modernity, offering not only traditional cuisine but also burgers and barbecue ribs. A special specialty is the roasted pork, which is prepared in the old wood oven. During the week, there is also a lunch menu available.
