In the beginning there was - as so often - a dream. Josef Hutter Sen. decided to build his own open-air swimming pool after the next bathing possibility seemed unattainable at that time. In 1959 the time had come, the Waldbad Hutter opened its doors and has been known since then as "Hutterbod". In the meantime, the Hutter family - in the third generation - runs a public outdoor swimming pool, an inn, an apartment house and a camping site.
The outdoor swimming pool is a swimming biotope with spring water in drinking quality without any chemical additives. The very good water quality is maintained by movement, construction of waterfalls, a stream with bank vegetation, which performs the function of a biological purification plant and the use of Grander technology.
Above all, the youngest are to be brought closer to the natural product water in all its life forms. But fun is not neglected in the process. On the 54-meter-long water slide, at the diving tower, on the bouldering wall and at the shaded playground, they can romp to their hearts' content.
