Alpenkrone herbs
St. Lambrecht"Lieslschnaps" has been produced on the mountain farm at 1.000 m above sea level for decades. The production is done entirely by hand - just like aunt Elisabeth did for years. Many different alpine herbs make it (consumed in moderation) a healthy drink that has many friends. Wether in the "bitter" or "mild" taste, the "Liesl" has a beneficial and stimulating effect.
Tip: Enjoy it cold.
That's how we make our "Lieslschnaps"
We put the dried herbs in clean alcohol and water. Then we let it rest for 24 hours. Afterwards we turn the bottle. Thereafter, clean alcohol is added again. If we want to achieve the "mild Lieslschnaps", sugar is given to the mixture. Thereafter the liquid is filtered and poured into an oak barrel for storage.
As needed, we fill in the "Lieslschnaps" in bottles - the bottles are delivered to customers and sometimes sold in the manufactory. The production happens in pure handmade - as our aunt Elisabeth, also called "Liesl", has already made for decades.
The exact recipe is of course a business secret!
