Organ tour of the Vonbank organ in the Murau Capuchin Church - Murau Organ Week
MurauAs part of the Murau Organ Week, there will be an organ concert at the Vonbank organ by Lukas Ausserdorfer in the Capuchin Church in Murau on August 12, 2025. The program includes works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Jehan Alain, William Byrd, Johann Jacob Froberger, Marcel Duprè, and Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy.
This year, the Murau Organ Week welcomes you again with a diverse program. The spectrum ranges from the Middle Ages to the present, from the portative to the modern organ. In this week, you can expect five concerts, an organ mass, group lessons on the organ, and an organ tour that will offer you exclusive insights into the fascinating organ landscape of the city and the district of Murau. This year, singing will complement and enrich the organ sound in three concerts.
Manfred Novak, artistic director of the Murau Organ Week, is looking forward to welcoming you to fascinating sound experiences in the special atmosphere of historical spaces!
All events are free of charge. Participants are kindly requested to make a suitable donation to cover the outstanding costs of the series.
