Experience the birds of prey at the castle falconry up close and watch the falconers at work with their hunting partners, the birds of prey.
No motorized flying objects, but birds from the small, yet fast falcon to the gigantic vulture fly in this show. They fly just above the heads of the visitors to their falconers, whom they can see over the shoulder, and who explain the birds and their work as professional falconers very well.
The castle terrace of the Castle Oberkapfenberg boasts excellent wind and thermal conditions. This allows for natural free flights of eagles, vultures, condors, and more to become a spectacular experience. Several birds of prey also fly simultaneously, an experience that is hard to find anywhere else in Europe. From early April to late October, from Wednesday to Sunday, at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM (exceptions see Castle Calendar).
Tip: After the flight show, you can tackle the 10-minute ascent to the Lorettokapelle and to the base of the mountain and nature watch Kapfenberg. About 5 kilometers away is the eatery Prieselbauer with great cuisine, a petting zoo, and a large playground.

Bird of Prey Show from Wednesday to Sunday (April to October)
At 11 AM and 3 PM.
Experience the birds of prey at the castle falconry and watch the falconers in their daily work with their hunting partners, the birds of prey.
From the end of April to the end of October, Wednesday to Sunday, at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. On Thursdays, instead of the flying shows, tours of the falconry take place (exceptions see Castle Calendar).
Even in rain, strong winds, or fog, an alternative program will be provided.
