The bees visit countless herbs and medicinal plants when collecting the nectar.

Fine substances of our entire flora can be found in our honey. The ingredients of honey that come from the plants include vitamins, minerals, acids, enzymes, flavourings, colourings and pollen. The so-called "bioactive substances" complement each other in a sophisticated interplay of their effects. This diversity of ingredients results from the fact that the bees have to fly to about one million flowers for one kilogramme of honey. The plant diversity of our nature is therefore reflected in honey. The good taste, the ripeness of the honey and the hygienic conditions during honey production are important factors for the award of the honey quality seal.

Store your honey in a dark and cool place and do not heat it in the microwave. If it crystallises, this is a sign of authenticity, and to then make the honey thick again, you should warm it up in a water bath at about 35°C.
