Right in the middle: the Alpengasthof Grobbauer, a true insider tip at around 1,000 meters above sea level. A guesthouse as you would find in a picture book – with a panorama, warmth, and honest cuisine. And all of this certified as a “Kulinarium Steiermark” establishment.
The kitchen team of the Alpengasthof has long cooked its way into the hearts of guests with its culinary pampering program under the motto "This is what Styria tastes like". And not just because high altitude makes you hungry. The menu features what the season, garden, meadow, and region have to offer, as the hostess Iris is dedicated to meadow herbs. And the dumpling weeks taking place in the last two weeks of October can undoubtedly be described as "legendary". A complete experience.

Kitchen hours:
- Monday - Thursday CLOSED (except for hotel guests)
- Friday & Saturday 11:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Sunday 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM
On the closing days (Monday-Thursday/Sunday evening) the kitchen is open for our hotel guests from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Excluded from the times and closing days are special weeks, such as the dumpling week in October!
