Helena and Kevin are realising a vision in their vegetable farm at the foot of the Reiting: regional, seasonal organic vegetables and herbs that are sustainably grown and freshly harvested and delivered straight to your plate.
Whether in the weekly vegetable subscription, at the farm-gate sale or at the farmers' market in Leoben: The Gemüsemacherei offers you numerous opportunities to enjoy the freshness of nature.
- Vegetable subscription: From May to October, you receive freshly harvested organic vegetables for 26 weeks - ideal for 1-2 people. There are pick-up points in Trofaiach, Leoben or directly at the beds in Glarsdorf.
- Farm-gate sales: Every Thursday from 17:00 to 19:00 directly at the vegetable farm.
- Leoben farmers' market: Every Friday from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The Gemüsemacherei vegetable subscription is more than just a purchase - it's a partnership. Whatever is in season is harvested. In the first and last few weeks, crunchy leafy vegetables dominate, while in the peak season it becomes more colourful. The price? A fair weekly fee ensures that both the environment and gourmets benefit.
Sustainability and manual labour Gemüsemacherei lives organic quality: seed-resistant seeds, organic growing soil and manual labour are standard here. Thanks to bio-intensive cultivation in permanent beds and without tillage, the soil remains protected and alive - for the future of our nature.
