The GEMYSAG fitness trail route of the Lactosan Sportarena Kapfenberg is a circular tour. You start in Winkl at the Winkl route board and pass the Glück farm at the highest point. Then it's downhill past the Wegscheid Marterl and back to the start via the old ski slope. You also have the option of shortening the route at 1.80 kilometres.

Excursion tips:

Oberkapfenberg Castle is definitely worth a visit, where you can, for example, visit the fantastic multi-media exhibition ‘Grenzgänge’ - a journey through time with knights and alchemists. Another absolute highlight is the birds of prey show organised by the castle falconry!
Or relax in the Badewonne Kapfenberg. The 200 m² adventure and wellness pool with a temperature of 32 degrees guarantees a water festival of superlatives with massage jets, whirlpool loungers, a waterfall, swing grotto and fountains. 120 comfortable loungers and an enclosed relaxation area are available to bathers for undisturbed relaxation. A 62 metre long indoor/outdoor adventure slide is particularly popular with children and the young at heart. Sports enthusiasts like to dive into the 25 metre sports pool and train their body and fitness. After a hard day's work or training, bathers can relax in the adjoining sauna area or solarium. Self-service catering is offered at the Badewonne Kapfenberg. Barrier-free access for people with disabilities and attractive, family-friendly admission prices are a matter of course!

From Graz/Vienna: Take the S6 motorway exit Kapfenberg in the direction of the city centre - straight ahead. Keep right at the Volksbank. At the 3rd set of traffic lights at Europaplatz we head towards Mariazellerstraße (straight ahead), past the Böhler Edelstahl company to the Trippl company.

On the Puma route in the LACTOSAN sports arena, we can get an insight into the beautiful landscape.

We start the tour in Kapfenberg Redfeld at the Trippl company and have two options for riding our Puma route. The first option leads via Lanzgraben to Ederbauer and on to Wegscheide.

The second option takes us to the Leingraben junction in the direction of the quarry, and we turn left at the first junction, either via the Rappold estate or via Reisser. From Wegscheide in the direction of Arndorf, you can also cycle to the Jörgl am Eck viewpoint.

Kapfenberg is embedded in a wonderful natural landscape. The town has also made a name for itself as an international sports and training centre. Despite everything, Kapfenberg emphasises harmony between life and work in an intact environment.
