Schloss Eggenberg & STEIERMARK SCHAU

Experience Baroque splendour and Styrian cultural history: Schloss Eggenberg in Graz is celebrating its 400th anniversary and will be the venue for the STEIERMARK SCHAU. Under the motto ‘Ambition & Illusion’, a fascinating look at art, power and vision opens up from 26 April to 2 November - with special tours, new perspectives and a feast for all the senses.

springfestival

From 18 to 22 June 2025, Graz will become the centre of electronic music: springfestival celebrates its 25th anniversary and brings digital art, electronic sounds and an urban vibe to the city. Experience a quarter of a century of innovation, beats and festival feeling - right in the centre of the creative pulse of Styria.

40 years

Styriarte

When classical music meets new spaces, culture becomes an experience: the Styriarte celebrates its 40th anniversary from 19 June to 20 July 2025. Under the motto ‘SPACE & SOUND’, the renowned festival invites you to unique performances in Graz and the surrounding area - with musical enjoyment at the highest level, full of emotion, atmosphere and a variety of sounds.

10 years

Klanglicht

From 24 to 27 October 2025, the Klanglicht art festival will transform the city centre of Graz into a stage full of light art and soundscapes for the tenth time. International artists will stage streets, squares and façades with impressive installations - a festival of the senses that moves, surprises and enchants.

760 years

Clocktower Graz

The clock tower has been enthroned on the Schlossberg for 760 years and is probably Graz's best-known landmark. With its striking, ‘reversed’ hands and the panoramic view over the city, it remains a timeless symbol of Styrian history - proud, steadfast and unmistakable. A must-see for every visit to Graz.

120 years

Styrian Folk Song Organisation

The Styrian Folk Song Organisation has been preserving the musical heritage of Styria for 120 years - authentic, lively and close to the people. Styrian folk music is celebrated and reinterpreted with events, concerts and encounters. An anniversary that makes tradition tangible and conveys folk culture in a modern way.

460 years

spanish riding school& Lipizzaner stud Piber

At the Lipizzaner stud farm in Piber, Styria, the famous Lipizzaners are bred for the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, which will celebrate its 460th anniversary in 2025. Around 40 to 50 Lipizzaner foals are born here every year. The knowledge of breeding is considered a national, intangible UNESCO cultural heritage - a living treasure of Austrian cultural history.

100 years

Thalersee

In 2025, Lake Thalersee near Graz will celebrate its 100th anniversary - with a big festival in summer. The idyllic recreational area is not only scenic, but also steeped in history: Arnold Schwarzenegger proposed to Maria Shriver in a boat here. The original boat can still be admired today on the shores of Lake Thalersee.

Haindl Mill

On 6 June 2025, Haindl Mühle in Kalsdorf celebrates its 100th anniversary - with a festival that focuses on tradition, craftsmanship and regional cuisine. Visitors can expect an enjoyable day with authenticity to experience and taste - directly at one of the oldest family businesses in Styria.

Oskar Schauer Haus - Sattelhaus

A century of mountain love and hut romance: the Sattelhaus on the Terenbachalm celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2025 - crowned by being named ‘Hut of the Year’ by the Friends of Nature. Between summit breakfasts, alpine idyll and panoramic views, hikers can experience living tradition and warm hospitality in the Styrian mountains.

Winter world Graz

For two decades, the State Sports Centre on the Schlossberg has been the stage for the Graz Winter World. In 2025, the popular winter event celebrates its 20th anniversary - with open-air ice skating fun, a festive atmosphere and magical moments for the whole family. A highlight for everyone who loves winter in Graz.
