Curator's tour through the special exhibition 1945 – End of War at the site of the Ausseerland region
The vivid presentation of the special events that took place in the Ausseerland region at the end of the war, along with the accompanying stories based on eyewitness accounts, makes the tour an experience. A glance at the small accompanying exhibition provides an impression of the American occupation, the critical food situation, and the considerable overpopulation of Ausseerland in the year 1945. The fact that there were nonetheless Ausseer Festspiele festival performances with well-known artists is likely also a specificity of the region.
