The panoramic tour promises magnificent views of the mountains and peaks of the Murtal adventure region and leads mostly on comfortable forest roads in the Lobmingtal municipality.
Tour corresponds to trail no. 48c on signposts on site and in the regional hiking map.

The Panoramarunde Kleinlobming can be described as a sporty, varied hike, with beautiful ascents and descents, along forest, meadow and pasture areas. The newly marked and signposted hiking trail impresses with a magnificent view of the largest inner alpine basin in Styria (Judenburg-Knittelfeld Basin) and the Seetaler, Seckauer Alps and Wölzer Tauern in the Murtal adventure region.towering behind it. You get to know the sunny side of Kleinlobming on this hike, and with every meter uphill you have more views of the hikeable region of the Lobming Valley. During the hike there are no possibilities to stop for refreshments, but you will pass many panoramic places where you can rest and have a snack on a picnic blanket. In summary, the Panorama Loop Kleinlobming combines everything a pleasurable hike needs: very good refreshment stops at the beginning and end, perfectly marked and signposted paths and numerous viewpoints along the way.

From the center in Kleinlobming (1), 759 m, we walk a short distance into the valley and see the signpost in the direction of Sonnberg. We turn left and follow the asphalt road uphill for about 1.5 km. At the crossroads we keep to the right and after a short time we come to the farm vlg. Kahlbauer (2), 915 m, where we continue to the left between the garage and the house. The red-white-red trail marking shows us the entrance to the hiking trail, where we now continue along a hollow path somewhat steeper uphill. At an altitude of about 1150 m we come out of the forest and have a wonderful panoramic view. Here we can already see our next destinations, the Stoana hut and the farm vlg. Kalchbauer, on the opposite side of the slope. Here at the barbed wire fence is a passage. Now we continue to the right of the fence, immediately come to a barrier and follow the forest road until we see the entrance to the hiking trail on the right. Continuing comfortably uphill along the well-marked hiking trail, we pass a small hut and then turn right again onto the hiking trail. A bit through the forest and we reach a meadow or a gravel road, which we now follow almost level. At the crossroads Steinplan (3), 1280 m, is also our highest point, as we now continue downhill to the left. We follow the forest road downhill, which ends directly at the Stoana hut and the farm vlg. Kalchbauer farm (4), 1150 m. We continue downhill for about 2 km on a wide gravel access road until we turn left onto an access road. Now we continue comfortably on forest roads, past the farmstead vlg. Schachner, until we reach the - already known to us - crossroads above the farm vlg. Kahlbauer (2), 915 m, we reach. The descent across the populated area of the sunny side of Kleinlobming follows the ascent route.

For a conflict-free coexistence on alpine pastures and meadows, it is important to observe a few rules, especially when traveling with dogs. (Source: www.sichere-almen.at - 09/2020)
  • Avoid contact with grazing animals, do not feed them, keep a safe distance!
  • Keep calm, do not frighten grazing animals!
  • Mother cows protect their calves. Avoid encounters between mother cows and dogs!
  • Always keep dogs under control and on a short leash. If an attack by a grazing animal is foreseeable: Immediately unleash!
  • Do not leave hiking trails on alpine pastures and meadows!
  • If grazing animals block the way, avoid them as far as possible!
  • When grazing animals approach: Stay calm, do not turn your back, avoid the animals!
  • Leave the grazing area quickly at the first sign of restlessness of the animals!
  • Fences must be respected! If there is a gate, use it, then close it well and cross the pasture quickly!
  • Treat the people working here, nature and the animals with respect!

A few tips for correct and fair behavior in the forest: (Source: www.bundesforste.at - 9/2020)

  • Hikers should avoid visits to the forest about 1.5 hours before sunrise and after sunset, as wildlife is especially active during this time.
  • Plastic bottles, handkerchiefs, cigarette butts & Co have no place in the forest! Please make sure that you do not leave any trash in the forest.
  • Camping and making fire - is strictly forbidden in the forest!
  • In principle, each person is allowed to collect 2 kg of mushrooms and berries per day for personal use in the forest. It is only forbidden if the forest owner expressly prohibits it.
