We hike along the Fiscbacher Alps, starting from the high altitude health resort Fischbach to St. Kathrein am Hauenstein and enjoy a beautiful hike!

Arrival from Vienna: A2 to Neunkirchen, S6 direction Langenwang, exit Schwöbing over the Alpl. Through St. Kathrein and then on to Fischbach.arrival from Graz: A2 to Gleisdorf exit, B64 towards Weiz. At the traffic circle before Weiz, take the B72 towards Anger, Birkfeld, Fischbach.
Coming from Salzburg: 145 via Liezen, then on to Leoben, from Leoben towards Kindberg (S6), Stanz via Mürztal, Fischbach.

- We start at the parish hall and hike to Oberdissau
- After a short detour to the Aegydius Chapel we come to the small hamlet of Oberdissau
- We walk a short distance on the asphalt road, then we turn left in the direction of Falkenstein.
- At the wayside shrine at "Hauswirtshofer" we turn right
- From there we walk a short steep path up to the Hauswirts Höh
- From there we continue along the ridge to the right until we follow the path down to the left at the crossroads.
- When we reach the sulzbachstraße, we follow it for about 500 m until we finally turn left.
- There we go steeply uphill through the forest until we reach the village of Falkenstein in a few minutes.
- On the village street we turn left
- Through the forest and a bridge we come to Landau
- At the wide forest road we turn left
- After a short stretch on the road we follow a forest path down to the right until we reach St. Kathrein am Hauenstein
- On the way back we start in St. Kathrein am Hauenstein
- After about 200 meters we walk over a bridge (hiking trail no. 736) to Hochkamper
- After about 1 hour of walking we come to the Waldtonihütte
- At the Schneidhofer cross we follow the trail no. 736 to the left
- From the Glatz farm we hike again to Fischbach
Fischbach is always worth a visit, especially during the Easter season, and St. Kathrein am H. is best known for the Peter Rosegger exhibition.
