This number will go down in history. Austria’s biggest sporting event set a new attendance record at the Red Bull Ring with sold-out stands. Never before have so many fans attended in a single weekend. The record-breaking winner at Spielberg, Max Verstappen of Oracle Red Bull Racing, was only beaten by George Russell (Mercedes). Teammate Kimi Antonelli rounded out the podium. After four days of the Formula 1 festival in the Murtal Valley, Styria and the entire country are looking forward to the next visit of the premier class to Spielberg. Ticket sales for the “2027 Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix” begin on Monday, June 29, at www.redbullring.com.
Opera flair on the starting grid. Two helicopters flying the Austrian and Styrian flags soared over the Grand Prix grounds while opera star Jonas Kaufmann sang the national anthem, accompanied by the Musicbanda Franui. Seeing Formula 1 stars up close, the red-white-red grandstands at a sold-out Grand Prix guaranteed pure goosebumps. The Flying Bulls’ air show, side-event highlights from Thursday through Sunday, a festival atmosphere in the F1 Fan Zone, and hundreds of thousands of fans at Spielberg created a spectacular atmosphere. THANK YOU to 320,000 visitors!
