If you combine the 2025 Formula 1 weekend at the Red Bull Ring with a stress-free journey, you are well equipped! There are many ways to get to the Austrian Grand Prix. Fans should preferably use public transport. Regional shuttles, interregional bus transfers with stops in several federal states and rail travel have proven to be the best way to get to the event in recent years. Attractive alternatives to your own car are therefore available and fans can enjoy the last few meters to the race track by bike. All information on arrival and departure, the program and tickets can be found at www.redbullring.com.

Early arrival recommended - S6 partly single-track

Anyone traveling to Formula 1 by car this year can rely on a tried and tested car traffic concept. Coming from Vienna, the S6 Semmering expressway will only have one lane on several sections around the race weekend. At Semmering and at the St. Michael junction in the Leoben area, delays must be expected in both directions due to roadworks. Coming from Upper Austria, it is recommended to exit at Trieben (follow the signs) in order to avoid the St. Michael junction. A longer journey time should be planned, especially on Saturdays and Sundays, and therefore an arrival time before 08:00 is strongly recommended. Individual drivers should make full use of the seats in their vehicles and follow the signs to the parking lot. There is a central motorcycle parking lot with biker lockers for motorcyclists. Details on how to get there can be found at F1 Spielberg I Arrival Red Bull Ring.

By bus from the front door to the Red Bull Ring

Alternatively, public transport is available for a relaxed journey to Formula 1 at the Red Bull Ring. Both regional shuttles and interregional bus transfers are available. On the race weekend, fans can hop on in several federal states. Additional express shuttles will be in operation on qualifying Saturday and GP Sunday. Fancy a train ride? Or cycle to the Grand Prix!

Due to roadworks, we recommend traveling by train or interregional shuttles, especially from Vienna in 2025. The destination station for the Austrian Grand Prix is Knittelfeld. From there, free shuttle buses will take you to the Red Bull Ring. The buses run every 20 minutes from Friday to Sunday from 07:00 to 20:00 and every 30 minutes from 20:00 to 23:00 (Sunday until 20:00). There is a Park & Bike parking lot at the Therme Fohnsdorf, which can be reached via the S36 via the Judenburg-Ost exit. The route continues on marked cycle paths to the bicycle parking areas around the Grand Prix area.

Camping for that festival feeling

Campers are advised to set off for Spielberg on Wednesday or Thursday. Campers will be guided through the S36 Murtal expressway on Thursday to ensure the best possible arrival distribution. Departure is possible on Sunday from 20:00. Details: Arrival to the campsite I Red Bull Ring.
