Fast-paced races under floodlights
Ice Cross is one of the most spectacular winter sports: several riders simultaneously hurtle down an icy course on the Winterleiten toboggan run in the Seetal Alps, which is peppered with steep turns, waves, and jumps.
The Winterleiten is the ideal venue: the track has long been known in the region as a sporting hotspot among tobogganers, and floodlights create an atmosphere that attracts fans from all over the district to the tobogganing center. Here, athletes from all over Europe find the only opportunity to train in natural conditions throughout the winter.
On Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 7 p.m., the top athletes will face off in a showdown. Doors open at 6 p.m. Refreshments will of course be available for guests at the event venue. Admission for spectators is free!
After the award ceremony at around 9:15 p.m., the Winterleiten toboggan run will become a party location. The after-race party will once again be in full swing with AMF Events and Kronehit.
Region as host for international competitions
The fact that the World Championships are returning to the Murtal region is also a strong sign for the region. In recent years, Winterleiten has established itself as a venue for high-profile events and enjoys an excellent reputation in the scene.
