MARC MÁRQUEZ adds Austria to his list of victories
Pole setter Marco Bezzecchi put up a valiant fight for a long time, but in the end Marc Márquez celebrated a double triumph at the Red Bull Ring after winning the sprint race and his first GP victory in Austria – in the 1,000th race of the premier motorcycle class. Fermín Aldeguer catapulted himself into second place, with Bezzecchi completing the podium. Before the start of the race, the Graz band “Velvet Wasted” rocked the Austrian national anthem, while the parachutists of HSV Red Bull Salzburg landed at the Grand Prix area with the red-white-red national flag. The Flying Bulls and the Red Bull Skydive Team provided action in the sky, after the premiere of the Red Bull Legends Parade with ten motorcycle icons and historic machines perfectly set the mood for the race.
In 2026, the Austrian Motorcycle Grand Prix will take place from September 18 to 20.
Fans can once again look forward to four days of pure MotoGP entertainment at Spielberg. In addition to world-class racing and a side event fireworks display made in Austria, they can also look forward to the season finale of the “Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup.” You just can order tickets at www.redbullring.com.
