25 years of passion, technology and community will be celebrated at the Murtal Classic from June 6 to 8, 2025. What began in 1999 has developed into a permanent fixture on the European classic car scene. At the press conference on 26.5.2025, Josef “Pepe” Kriebernegg provided information about the comprehensive program for the anniversary event.

The Murtal Classic is not about speed, but about precision: over a distance of up to 350 kilometers with 15 special stages, consistency is what counts - measured in tenths and even hundredths of a second. The participants are not competing for the best times, but in a competition of precision. This year's route reflects the diversity of the region. On Saturday, the participants will pass the historic Gabelhofen Castle over 157 kilometers and ride via Pöls and Maria Hof. Of course, Judenburg is once again a fixed point on the Corso, before continuing on to Großlobming and the Lorettohof in Gaal. A special stage at the Playworld in Spielberg is a particular highlight here.

On Saturday, the Kulturhaus Knittelfeld will also open its doors to visitors, friends of classic mobility and all lovers of the Murtal Classic. Here, guests will have the opportunity to gain a special insight into 25 years of history of this unique event. In addition, an exhibition by the Lotus Museum Bad Aussee on the main square in Knittelfeld will delight visitors.

On Sunday, the tour leads 179 kilometers over the Gaberl to Köflach, Judenborf-Strassengel, via Pernegg to St. Michael and Kobenz. The popular City Grand Prix in Knittelfeld will be the brilliant finale of the 25th Murtal Classic.

Spectators can look forward to 7 motorcycle brands and 32 car brands, with the oldest car dating back to 1927. The number of participants is limited to 220. Pepe Kriebernegg and his team from “Freunde Historischer Fahrzeuge” are looking forward to a nostalgic atmosphere and a great event.
