About the region
The region is known for the popular Kreischberg ski area with over 40 km of pistes and an 18-hole golf course. Particularly noteworthy is the largest self-supporting wooden bridge in Europe, which impressively connects the two districts. Another highlight is the timber museum in St. Ruprecht, which provides an insight into the history and modern use of timber construction. St. Georgen also impresses with its award as the 'most beautiful flower village'.
