Schermerhof
Admont
The organic farm Schermerhof is located in Hall bei Admont on the so-called Stellerhöhe. Surrounded by the Haller walls, agriculture has been practiced here for several hundred years. Since 1984, the farm has been run by Inge and Alfred Seidl along with their daughters.
The typical Styrian farmstead is run as a dairy farm in a secondary capacity. On the farm, which is managed according to organic guidelines, the cattle graze in a natural environment. This also affects the quality of the farm's own products.
The Schermerhof also includes traditional mountain farming. At an altitude of almost 1000 meters on the Buchau near Weng, the easily accessible Lahnalm is located. Surrounded by the magnificent panorama of the Buchstein group, the Lahnalm is open to visitors from Thursday to Sunday and on public holidays. Here, one is treated to homemade specialties from Schermerhof. You can relax with a hearty platter, doughnuts, apple cider, and various schnapps.
TIP: Every Sunday, there is an Alpine breakfast on the Lahnalm from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
