The focus is on the latest archaeological finds and the information gained from them about life at the castle, which is conveyed in an exciting way in the exhibition. The medieval Deutschlandsberg Castle was developed into a fortress by the Salzburg archbishops. Archaeological finds provide information about life in the castle - eating and drinking, lighting and living culture. Wild animals, poultry, beavers and even brown bears were on the menu, as the discovered animal bones show. Vessel ceramics, remains of tiled stoves as well as coins and weapons illustrate the wealth of the noble inhabitants.
