Irina and Silvia Vaterl completed their studies with distinction at the Universities of Music and Performing Arts in Graz and Vienna and at the Berlin University of the Arts, completing their training at the Royal College of Music in London and the International Academy of Music in the Principality of Liechtenstein. They have won prizes at international competitions both as soloists and duos, for example as the youngest finalist duo at the International Piano Competition San Marino 2010, 1st place at the XVII International Schubert Competition in the Czech Republic and 3rd place at the 12th Concours Grieg - International Piano Competition in Oslo.
