Georgi Schloss
Ehrenhausen an der Weinstraße
The Georgi Castle in Ehrenhausen on the South Styrian Wine Road is situated on a small hill at the beginning of the wine landscape. It was built in the mid-19th century in the English Tudor style by the Attems family based on a smaller manor house and has been expanded several times over the years. During World War II, the castle served as a home for injured soldiers. After 1960, it was used as a wine tavern until this use was discontinued in the late 1990s and the building was subsequently extensively renovated. Today, the castle is a listed monument and operates as a hotel with comfortable rooms and suites. Additionally, it serves as an event venue for celebrations, seminars, and weddings. With its historic charm and location on the edge of the vineyards, Georgi Castle offers a central starting point to explore the South Styrian cultural landscape and the town center of Ehrenhausen.
