The Season Ticket Plus 2025/2026 now includes a daily free uphill and downhill ride with the bus on the Tauplitz Alpenstraße (www.alpenstrasse.at) and an uphill and downhill ride with the Tauplitz 4-seater chairlift of the Tauplitz mountain railway (www.dietauplitz.com). The round trips can be used once per day.

The valid cross-country ski ticket must be carried with you while skiing, either in printed form or as a mobile ticket (PDF version of the Print@Home ticket / standard mobile ticket / mobile ticket in the Ausseerland Vacation Guide), and must be presented to the trail inspector without being asked.

Important Information Regarding the Use of Additional Services

• Round Trip with the Tauplitz Alpenstraße Bus

To take advantage of the free transportation with the Tauplitz Alpenstraße bus, you must carry a complete and appropriate cross-country skiing outfit. The valid cross-country ski ticket must be presented to the bus driver for inspection without being asked.

• Round Trip with the Tauplitz 4-Seater Chairlift

To take advantage of the free lift ride with the Tauplitz chairlift, you must carry a complete and appropriate cross-country skiing outfit. The valid cross-country ski ticket must be presented at the ticket counter for inspection, where the Tauplitz lift operators will issue a valid ticket for the round trip on that day.

Is there a possibility for luggage storage in Bad Mitterndorf?

• Luggage Storage
  There is no luggage storage at the train stations. The information office in Tauplitz and Bad Mitterndorf offers luggage storage during office hours in the information offices for 4.00 euros per item.
  
  

• Lockers at Tauplitzalm: Practical, Safe, and Sustainable
  Since the winter season 2024/2025, you have the option to securely store your personal belongings free of charge at Tauplitzalm. Right on the Alm, you can conveniently accommodate your bags, backpacks, and other items before heading out onto the cross-country trails. For the lockers, you will need a 2.00 euro coin as a deposit.
  Especially practical: The one-day trail ticket including ascent includes a one-time free mountain and valley ride per day with the bus of the Alpine Road or with the 4-seater chairlift of the Tauplitz cable cars. Take the opportunity to reach the Alm sustainably and without stress while also benefiting from our new locker service.
  With this offer, we aim not only to provide you with more comfort but also to contribute to sustainability by providing you with a practical changing and storage option right on site.

Is the ascent via the Tauplitz Alpine Road or by the chairlift of the Tauplitz cable cars included in the trail ticket?

• The ascent is exclusively included in the one-day trail ticket including ascent and in the season ticket 2025/26 Plus.

• There are no discounts for seniors and disabled persons.
• Children up to 16 years can use all trails for free. Children require their own child day ticket for free mountain and valley rides with the bus on the Tauplitzalm Alpine Road and the 4-seater chairlift of Tauplitz cable cars – this can be obtained free of charge at www.loipenticket.at. There are no children’s season tickets.
• The presale price of € 275.00 is valid until 12.12.2025 inclusive, after which the season ticket for 2025/2026 Plus will be available at the regular price of € 300.00 from 13.12.2025.

If a ticket cannot be used due to external influences such as bad weather, heavy snowfall, weak snow conditions, avalanche danger, storm or similar, this does not entitle to a refund or extension of the validity period of the ticket. The same applies in the case of illness, early departure, unforeseen technical defects, closure of individual cross-country ski trails or the entire network of trails. Furthermore, it also concerns the suspension of operation due to force majeure, official orders due to pandemics or epidemics or otherwise justified legal regulations.

Outside the operating hours, the use of the cross-country ski trails is prohibited due to preparation work!

You can easily arrive by train.

From Bad Mitterndorf train station, the Krungl trail (M2) is in the immediate vicinity.

From the train station Tauplitz the Kulm Loipe (M1) is nearby.

From the train station Bad Mitterndorf Heilbrunn the Neuhofen Loipe (M3) is closest.

From the train station Kainisch the Ödensee Loipe (K1) is within reach.

The most convenient cross-country ski trail entrances for arrival by car are mainly the following:

There is no luggage storage at the stations. The information office Tauplitz and Bad Mitterndorf offers luggage storage during opening hours in the information offices for 4,00 Euro per item of luggage.
