Styrian SUmmer Art: Comic Workshop

Drawing comics in a creative group allows you to explore many variations and possibilities of this graphic narrative form.
After an introduction, we will start by developing individual characters. Throughout the workshop, stories will be drawn in turn, integrating the characters into a larger narrative.
In the "round-robin frame drawing," each person creates a frame that is continued by the next person, resulting in a collaborative story. The ending remains open, giving participants great creative freedom.

The workshop offers the opportunity to explore and apply various comic styles. This includes the intentional use of contrasts, symbolism, and different storytelling techniques. Participants can bring in their ideas while also engaging with and developing the work of others. The workshop provides space for innovative ideas and enables a lively and dynamic engagement with the comic medium.

Please bring:

Fineliners, pencils, fountain pens, or any medium with black ink that the participant feels comfortable with.

then studied experimental art at the Art University of Linz (expected graduation WS 2025/26).
