“Milestones in medicine”
Special exhibition at the Museum Hartberg
Vernissage on Thursday, June 13 at 7 p.m.
Wed - Sun 10.00 - 16.00
It's incredible how medicine has developed: Vaccinations, antibiotics, transplants, laparoscopy, endoscopy, joint replacement, magnetic resonance, vasodilation in the heart and much more. It all seems self-evident to us, doesn't it?
Since the pandemic, the possibilities and limitations of medicine have increasingly become one of the major controversial issues in our society. The "Milestones in Medicine" exhibition aims to raise awareness of the great achievements and show how much has been achieved, especially in the last 100 years.
The research spirit of individual personalities has also paved the way for today's innovations. Global efforts to improve medical care have continued to accelerate in recent decades. Without health, everything is nothing: personal responsibility, a healthy lifestyle and self-help are important parts of maintaining it.
This time, however, the exhibition will focus more on the possibilities of the medical system, with references to Hartberg's medical history and the suffering and helplessness of past generations forming an essential part of the exhibition.
