Muleteers' experiences in the Cottian Alps - multimedia presentation by Albert Schweizer about an almost forgotten facet of alpinism. Muleteers were the forwarders of the past and transported goods with pack animals (horses, donkeys, mules) on mountain paths over the Alpine passes. In a lecture and a film screening, we accompany Albert Schweizer and his “best friend”, the calm and sure-footed donkey “Taori”, on old mule tracks. Admission: Free donation (IAA members free)

In addition to a wealth of information about the almost forgotten craft of hemming, the film shows us the deceleration of a harmony between humans and animals based on mutual trust. The documentary, which was filmed in a corner of our Alpine arc that is enchanting in its natural beauty and is home to a special cultural and historical feature, has won numerous awards at home and abroad.
