Ergovital - Practice for occupational therapy
GrundlseeLisa Wind is an occupational therapist BSC who offers occupational therapy to people of all ages in her practice.
I completed my training as an occupational therapist at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences from 2016 to 2019. Since then I have been working full-time at the Rehabilitation Center Bad Aussee. In April 2020, I completed the diploma as a Pilates trainer. Due to my conviction to occupational therapy and my motivation to develop professionally, I decided to go into self-employment and open a practice.
I look forward to welcoming you to my practice!
What is occupational therapy?
Occupational therapy supports people of all ages. It treats physical, psychological and also social impairments that have occurred as a result of illness, accidents or developmental disorders. The goal of occupational therapy is to achieve the greatest possible independence, quality of life and life satisfaction in everyday life, in personal areas as well as in work and leisure.
Occupational therapy is present in all medical specialties. These are: Pediatrics, Neurology, Geriatrics, Psychiatry, Preventive Health and Orthopedics.
My main areas of therapy are in the specialties of neurology and orthopedics. These include disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the central and peripheral nervous systems.
Orthopedics:
- Rehabilitation after diseases, injuries, operations of the upper extremity (shoulder, elbow, hand, fingers). Consultation and interventions in rheumatic diseases (rheumatism, rheumatoid arthritis, polyarthritis, arthrosis, etc.).
- Therapy applications in connective tissue diseases of the hand (Dupuytren's disease, etc.).
- Treatment for tendon injuries, tears and diseases (tennis elbow, rapid finger). Remobilization after fractures (breaks) and luxations of the upper extremity.
- Treatment after amputations and endoprosthesis implantation of the upper extremity.
- Treatment of scars and their removal -Chronic regional pain syndrome (CRPS)
Neurology:
- Therapy interventions after injuries to the central nervous system (stroke, traumatic brain injury, etc.).
- Treatment of other neurological diseases (multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, etc.)
- Upper extremity nerve injuries and lesions (carpal tunnel syndrome, etc.)
- Rehabilitation/re-mobilization of geriatric (elderly) people.
How can you use occupational therapy?
For occupational therapy treatment, you need a referral from your attending physician. Based on your findings and personal requirements, goals are formulated. An individual treatment plan will then be drawn up and appointments made.
Please bring your preliminary findings (X-ray, MRI findings, etc.) with you to your first appointment so that we can start therapy as quickly as possible. You can submit the invoices together with the referral to your health insurance company in order to be reimbursed for part of the costs.
If you are limited in your mobility, I am also happy to come to your home (condition is a medical prescription with a home visit).
In principle, the practice is open all year round! Please ask directly by phone. You will of course receive information and an appointment.
For an individual request, please send us an email with your desired date.
We will contact you as soon as possible.
